Keyholding & Alarm Response

Our Keyholding service, where we hold a copy of your keys securely for an annual fee, allows you peace of mind, in knowing that should an alarm activation take place, Top Marks will be there promptly and will deal with any issues as they arise.

Appointing us as a Keyholder also grants flexibility. We develop an understanding about your site giving you freedom to:

​

- Have us open the site for contractors on the weekend;

- Attend the site to lock up so your people don't have to;

- Quickly place a guard on site in the event of an issue or quickly initiate patrols of your premises where there are security concerns;

- Have us support with ad-hoc facilities or concierge services.

Mobile Patrols

Mobile patrols are a way to ensure your site remains secure out of hours. Our mobile patroller can attend your site according to a frequency desirable to you, as little as once per week, or multiple times per evening.

Our operative will ensure the site's security remains intact and their repeated presence at your site will deter those in the area from seeking to negatively impact the site. This can be a more cost- effective way of ensuring out-of-hours security.

Our operatives can also undertake vacant property inspections, carrying the risks associated with visiting vacant sites, and doing whatever checks necessary such as fire alarm checks.

Our Experience

We have been delivering Keyholding and Alarm Response services for over 17 years. Over that time we have built a wealth of experience and have come across almost every scenario or issue possible and have developed a process with dealing with these.

We currently supply this service to approx. 150 sites, and the majority of our sites (c.90) are schools and colleges. The nature and size of these sites has left us well armed to tackle any property.

We have customers in industrials, manufacturing, professional services, retail, health and many more.

Our Local Focus

We operate across two distinct geographies, in:

  • East and Central Lancashire (broadly covering the M65 belt from Preston to Burnley); and

  • Greater Manchester

​

We have local operatives who serve just their local region, meaning that an operative is never far away. This has allowed us to maintain exceptional response times, with c.75% of alarm activations in 2021 being attended within 20 minutes.

Our Quality

As a business we hold SIA Approved Contractor Status (ACS) for Keyholding services.

​

All of our operatives are fully SIA licensed, to Level 2 Security Guarding or above. 

​

Our business adopts the processes and recommendations set out in BS 10800 and BS7984-1 for our Keyholding and Alarm Response services and mobile patrols.
